Skincare: does it go beyond the surface?
Words like “beauty”, “wellness” and “skin” have become the subject of countless conversations on social media. Perhaps this is the reason why when many people think of skincare, most of the time what comes to their mind are debates about brands and organisations capitalising on people’s vanity and the entirety of it all just being “for show” and extremely superficial. But truth be told, the reality is far, far away from it all. One might hear most beauty brands that offer skin care products using the word “wellness” a lot of times, especially in their ads and other marketing material. If you are a sceptic, at first glance you might think that that’s all there is to it.
